Tinder is a dating app that allows you to swipe right or left to “like” or “dislike” a tinder user. Tinder recently launched a new feature: Super Like. In the Beta version Tinder tested in Australia, the company has since seen users have 3x the likelihood of finding a match through use of the Super Like. Moreover, conversations that initiated with a Super Like tend to last longer than regular conversations. Super Like lets you tell a certain potential suitor that you’re more-than-just-right-swipe interested.
Tinder Cofounder and CEO Sean Rad also mentioned that Super Like yielded an uptick in conversions to Tinder Plus, the app’s premium product. Unpaid users will receive one Super Like per day, and Tinder Plus users can extend that to five Super Likes each day.
My questions to the class: Does this new feature seems appealing to you? Do you think this feature makes people take tinder more seriously when using it, therefore, more willing to pay for to the extra Super Likes?
