Have you ever made a list of those important qualities that you look for in your soul mate and are afraid you won’t find him? Tall, handsome, nice smile, enchanting eyes… –>Must love bacon? Well dream no more: Oscar Mayer to the rescue!
The famous meat and cold cut production company owned by Kraft Foods has just
launched a bacon dating app. Yep, you read that right! It’s called Sizzl.
Eric Dahmer, the company’s marketing director said in a statement, “In love, as it is in bacon, it’s important to be discerning when selecting your perfect match and to never settle for less than the best. We passionately cure our bacon for 12 hours, and lovingly smoke-house it for another 12, making it the true bacon for bacon lovers. With the launch of Sizzl, we’re thrilled to give our true bacon lovers the chance to find each other and potentially meet their soulmates, in life and in bacon.”
So how does this app work? First you have to specify how you like your bacon. Whether you prefer pork or turkey, crispy, chewy or burnt, etc. Then, based on preferences and location, the app presents you with possible matches. Your job now is to rate these profiles with the “sizzl meter”- the longer you press and hold this button, the more you like someone. When the app presents a match, you can chat and eventually meet them for a “bacon-wrapped date”- (Mayer’s words, not mine!!)
The app is only available for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users. As it is free, the app will be supported with paid digital ads.

How will Oscar Mayer benefit if you like bacon, but you don’t like their brand?
