Google offers employees opportunities to try something inventive 20% of company time, and two employees did just this. Paris staff members David Coz and Damien Henry created a cardboard box out of average home or office items that holds Android phones and can be placed on someones head. Why would you do this? That is the question at hand. Google says you can use the DIY gadget to visit places around the world virtually; drive to some exotic location, be in a film, etc. Maybe Google wants to prank us, who knows. But Google is probably looking into the oculus/tech world, with Facebook buying the VR-headset Oculus Rift.

My question is–how does this technology have connections to average users who may not be gamers but wish to have a 3D experience with their current mobiles?
